Giving Yourself Reiki When Sick

Hi friends! I am not kidding when I say my body has been through hell literally since Jan 1st. I ended up in the ER with Covid. but it was all digestive/intestinal. No fever or respiratory symptoms. While there, they saw gallstones on my CT scan so a previously scheduled Hiatal Hernia repair was changed to gallbladder removal. While sick, I didn’t have the energy to do all 12 self reiki positions. I did hands on solar plexus mainly while calling in the ascended Reiki masters and Archangel Raphael for healing. I had hardly slept but this gave me some relief to sleep for a few hours. A few weeks later I had the gallbladder removal. Easiest surgery ever! Until I had the norovirus the next week. I ate nothing for 3 days and barely drank. I would do the Cho Ku Rei over my water and again just pray to the Reiki masters and Archangels. Another ER visit. I was beginning to feel like the hospital should have a wing with my name on it.

Feeling better after some time, I was ready for the Hiatal Hernia repair. I felt good after, went home the next day. I was shortly back to working with my Reiki clients which always feels great; it’s also like a session for yourself. But then dry heaves started and pain. Once you have that surgery, it eliminates your ability to vomit. Of course these things always happen on a weekend!! So I held off, made it to the surgeon who promptly admitted me for pain and dehydration. What a mess. They would bring tray after tray of broth and Jello and I would leave it untouched. I would just envision the column of white, healing light running up and down my spine. I would call in Archangel Michael with his blue sword of protection and Archangel Raphael with his staff and emerald green healing light. On day 3, I finally started to eat, again using the power symbol over my liquid diet offerings. I was able to go home and continued to do my calling in of the reiki symbols and placing my hands on the area I needed it the most. I listened to reiki shares and many meditations. My arms bruised from the IV’s and lab draws, 7 small incisions on my belly. So I am thinking ok-the hospital should at least give me a brick or a bench with my name!

Last week, after much discussion, we changed out my spinal stimulator to a different brand. The hope being I will get some relief from the neuropathy in my feet. This is it-the last brand for me to try so as with the previous procedures, I sent Reiki ahead to the surgery date, sent Reiki to my doctor and the nurses in the OR, and prayed for healing as I do most days. It is too soon to tell if this one will work since there are many settings to try. I am running out of options for this neuropathy so self Reiki in any form is a must for me.

My point is that when you are so sick, feeling down, or just plain tired, don’t pressure yourself to go through all of the Reiki hand positions. Chant the symbols or just draw them over your body. Imagine that brilliant, white light of healing filling up your body and auric field. Call in the Archangels, angels, your guardian angel, spirit guides, spirit animal, and spirit team in general to help you get through. They are always on stand by ready to help. If you can only manage to draw a symbol over your food for the highest nutrition you can get, that is enough. You are always enough.
