Reiki comes from two Japanese words; "Rei" means universal and "Ki" means vital life energy that flows through all living things. It came to be from Mikao Usui in the early 1900's.
Reiki is clearing the energy centers in your body that can get blocked due to stress, anxiety, illness, etc. It is with light touch over these areas or hovering of hands to send in the healing energy. I am only the conduit for Reiki healing to flow through to these energy centers or chakras. There are 7 main chakras I work on plus knees and feet. I am guided by a pendulum that tells me where your energy is dense or I scan over my hands over your body and may be guided to a specific area. You can be on my Reiki table in person or I have a body proxy to work with virtually where you can be on phone or video, or you can have a designated time just laying down relaxing in your own home and I do the work from my sacred space. I can text you pics of my set up and my findings. I use crystals as well specifically used by color to help clear your chakras. For in person sessions, you also get aromatherapy through essentials oils, a candle, or incense and a free crystal. Those two things are the only things you don't get when doing it virtually but of course you can light your own candle while resting. I have reviews on my website and on Facebook at Shine On Reiki. It is so amazing and relaxing. You may fall asleep, feel warmth, tingling, coolness, or even see colors. I do Reiki on myself everyday due to Diabetic Neuropathy pain. When I became a Reiki master, I received special symbols I draw on my palms and over your body (or the proxy). These are called attunements. Through all of my work with Reiki and crystals my hands buzz and vibrate as soon as I get to work. I also call in the Archangels to assist in your healing. I hope this info has helped!
